"This is what we drew in art class when we were 10 years old and our teachers told us to imagine what our future homes would look like."

During the Cold War when Yugoslavia was called the "Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia", the authoritarian Prime Minister and later President Josip Broz Tito promoted what he called "national communism" or "Titoism" until he died in 1980. However, he pursued neutral relations with the United States and Soviet Union. In spite of these neutral relations, he still built a secret bunker deep in the Bosnian mountains not far from Sarajevo where he could rule the country during a nuclear war. This bunker is still a military instillation that belongs to the Bosnia & Herzegovina government and is not open to the public or tourists. Nevertheless, my professors at St Andrews have connections. We had a government official lead us to this bunker and arrange a tour with a military escort. This tour was perhaps one of the coolest things I've done in Bosnia this week. I was surprised when the commander allowed us to take photos because it is illegal to take pictures of police officers or soldiers (at least that's the word on the street).

The blog post's title is what a friend told us while on the tour. I felt like it was an appropriate comment and would make a good title. We also agreed that this bunker would be a great place to go to during a zombie outbreak, but we'd be screwed if the zombies got through our frontline defenses. I think there may be a stairwell deep in the mountain that could serve as an alternative escape just in case the zombies broke in.
